Triple F's Autumn Conference 2024
How do actors within the transportation system need to work to reach climate goals in the most efficient way possible? And what policies and regulations, like the EU's Fit-for-55, are pivotal for the transition to a fossil-free freight transport system? This will be our focus during Triple F's Autumn Conference on October 15 in Gothenburg. During the conference we will deep-dive into policy and regulations. And on top of that, we will also get to take part of new results from Triple F-funded projects. Welcome!

Triple F's Autumn Conference will be held at Lindholmen in Gothenburg and during the conference we will, along with a strong lineup of participants, offer presentations, panel discussions, time for you to ask your questions and plenty of time to network. All with a focus on driving the transition towards a fossil-free logistics sector.

13.00 Focus: Policy
During the afternoon we put the focus on policy and regulations for the transportation sector from a EU perspective. What does the Green Deal and initiatives like Fit-for-55 include and how do actors within the transportation system need to work to reach climate goals? How are EU regulations adopted in Sweden and other Nordic countries and how can national actors influence the development? These are a few questions that will be addressed.
Presentations, comments and discussions with:
- Magnus Nilsson, Environmental Consultant and expert at EU climate legislation, on how policy has been used to drive transition towards a sustainable transportation system in the EU.
- Hanna Melander, Head of Sustainability, DB Schenker Nordics, with industry perspectives on policy and regulations and how they affect their sustainability initiatives.
- Enriko Laanemäe, Head of Digital Transport, Kliimaministeerium/Ministry of Climate of Estonia & Heiti Mering, Founder/CEO, Digital Logistics Center of Excellence, with an overview of Estonia’s plans for eFTI and in general for fossil-free freight transport
- Eva Jernbäcker, Climate Analyst, The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, with focus on Fit-for-55 and the EU countries' responsibilities and the development of the transport sector.
- Helene Hellmark Knutsson, Governor of Västerbotten and Chairperson of Triple F, with focus on the political system and resarch and innovation policy.
- Niels Buus Kristensen, Director, Institute of Transport Economics/Vice Chair, The Danish Council on Climate Change.
