How can European commercial vehicle manufacturers secure their competitive edge against the growing presence of Chinese actors? On June 16 we will focus on that as we deep-dive into a Fraunhofer report on market entry strategies and value creation activities of Chinese CV manufacturers in the EU. The report also highlights what strategic countermeasures domestic manufacturers can take to retain local value.

Welcome to a lunch webinar addressing Chinese commercial vehicle (CV) manufacturers and their value creation activities in the European market. During the webinar we will take part of insights from a new report by Fraunhofer. Dr. Christian Lerch, Coordinator of the Business Unit Industrial Change and New Business Models at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI, Karlsruhe, Germany will be presenting the findings.

The presentation will focus on two key questions:

- What do current value creation activities and future market entry strategies of Chinese CV manufacturers for the European market look like?

  • Activities of Chinese manufacturers in the EU: A value chain perspective
  • Market entry strategies of Chinese manufacturers across different markets
  • Chinese start-ups and investments in the EU

- What strategic options and countermeasures emerge from this for domestic CV manufacturers to secure existing competitive advantages in the long term and retain local value creation shares?

After the presentation, we will open up for questions.

Welcome!
