Triple F's first year is now completed!

Thursday, December 12, 2019

One year goes quickly and we can now see that the programme has enjoyed a real jump start and there is a great deal happening within fossil-free cargo transport. During the year, twelve preliminary study projects were started and ten of them presented their final results during our first results conference in November. An exciting mix of projects that is now being advanced in difference ways - you can view all of the final reports on our homepage. Moreover, one of our establishment projects has published a first report - see further news below.

We have seen a great deal of involvement from our partners during the year and the partnership has increased from 47 to 57 parties during the first year, which we are very happy about! We received 22 project proposals during the first year and 9 of them will start during year 2. Our partners and friends of the programme have worked nearly 1000 hours outside of the project in order to be a part and be involved in conversations and discussions on how we can achieve the goal of a Swedish fossil-free cargo transport system.

Now we are entering year 2 and it means that we need to specify even more clearly that all of our projects must focus on freedom from fossil fuels by 2045 and we welcome all ideas that can help us arrive there! Those of us in the program management look forward to working together during the coming year on creating the best conditions to achieve the goals and we hope that you want to be a part of the discussion.

Nine new projects within the programme are starting in year 2. Seven of them are doctoral projects and we look forward to starting up our doctoral programmes that will develop over years. We have a researcher educational council at our disposal that will contribute with insight and knowledge in order to establish the best conditions for the doctoral candidates to develop into experts within fossil-free cargo transport. More information about all of the projects that are starting this year is available on our homepage, where you can also find contact information for the project managers if you want to get in touch with them or would like more information.

Maybe we will see at the pitch event at the end of January. Welcome with your ideas!
